Anyway after calling wamu in CA. countless phone numbers, countless people, but with a never ending disire to keep our home of 24 years I finally got to speak with a so called WAMU loan modification specialist, the deal went something like this: how much money do you have mr. and mr. smith? ANSWER: $3000.00, ok that sounds about right, we will rewrite your loan to the original terms with your $3000.00 downpayment and any late payments will be added to the end of the loan. An ARM loan starting at 10.9 percent. FYI DEAUTCHE bank was assigned trustee one month prior to original attempts of WAMU foreclosing. Of course no one bought the house at auction, but it did sell about a month ago for $119,000.00 as opposed to the so called $340,000 that we were told we owed about a week before the auction.
