Not long ago I read a joke ... It said all the politicians running for president are promising change to the American people We send them billions and billions of tax dollars and they send us the change.
Funny?
Not really; there is too much truth in it to be funny.
That got me to thinking ... They all promise change. How about if they run on a promise of restoration rather than change.
A restoration that would take us back in time to a place where things ran better, smoother and life was more enjoyable.
Change? That, in truth, is what they have been giving us all along.
We used to have a strong dollar ... Politicians changed that.

Marriage used to be sacred ... Politicians are changing that.

We used to be respected around the world ... Politicians changed that.

We used to have a strong manufacturing economy ... Politicians changed that.

We used to have lower tax structures ... Politicians changed that.

We used to enjoy more freedoms ... Politicians changed that.

We used to be a large exporter of American made goods ... Politicians changed that.

We used to teach patriotism in schools ... Politicians changed that.

We used to educate children in schools ... Politicians changed that.

We used to enforce LEGAL citizenship ... Politicians changed that.

We used to have affordable food & gas prices ... Politicians changed that, too. ... and one could go on and on with this list.

What hasn't been changed, politicians are promising to change that as well, if you will elect them.

When, oh when, is America going to sit back with open eyes and look at what we once were and where we have come and say, enough is enough?

The trouble is, America's youthful voters today don't know of the great America that existed forty and fifty years ago. They see the world as if it has always existed, as it is now.
When will we wake up? Tomorrow may be too late. When will America realize ... Politicians are what is wrong with America?

What is needed is for the constitution to be amended to limit all Senators and Representatives to two terms.

PASS THIS ONE AROUND FOR A CHANGE

Bingo. What good does it do to change the figure head every 4 to 8 years when you have the same geezers in there term after term after term that run the show. The only thing that CHANGES after an election is the presidential china. It's ludicrous!

Ahhh yes. Always Blame.

Remember........ this behavior was ALLOWED.

Our founding fathers predicted this all. They put protections in place to keep it from happening. We did not heed their warnings. We allowed those protections to be stripped from us.

We ALLOWED this to happen.

We have ALL lived beyong our means & used money from the future to live today. We have all sat back & allowed our government to do the same.

Those who dared to challenge what was being "allowed" were called unpatriotic. That is sad.

It's time that ALL Americans face that this isn't THEIR problem. It's OUR problem & we have to deal. It's time to forget about "Me" & start to worry about the "we".

"We have ALL lived beyong our means & used money from the future to live today. We have all sat back & allowed our government to do the same. "

Speak for yourself Jane. I've never lived on credit or used credit to finance anything but houses and cars. Our household income is $84,200.00 so I could if I wanted to.

We own a 1999 truck and a 2000 SUV. The principal balance on our mortgage is 54,000.00 less than what the house next door sold for 2 months ago.

Not ALL people live beyond their means. I have not ALLOWED my government to do anything. 99% of what happens in government is not left up to voters. We pick a president every 4 years....big hairy deal. Legislation is not born from the voices of the people because our voices are drowned out by the cha-ching of lobbyist money.

Don't blame this mess on the American people.

Jane Doe's shoot from the hip and ask questions later attitude has presented an important issue in a bad light due to her lack of understanding and patience.

If she would bother to gain an understanding of ms fraud she would see that the banksters have targeted the upper middle class and middle class and implemented corporate socialism, though Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and the home interest rate deduction. Why do I list the home interest rate deduction because it forces you to get a large mortgage or give your hard earned money to the IRS/FED, seek loopholes, cheat the tax system, or reduce your income? It says it's wrong to keep your money if you have more than you need unless you’re willing to give it to the bank in interest payments. The home interest deduction supports corporate welfare and public welfare equally well since the banks charge interest to fund public welfare as well. Of course the system works great for trapping the lower class in debt slavery and poverty quite well and creates social division and class warfare. The banksters get us to fight each and idolize them as saviors either directly for credit or indirectly by financing social services.

She is right the founding fathers expected us to hold the politicians accountable and gave us many tools to do so but collectively the citizens have traded away freedom for comfort and security. The mainstream liberal v conservative arguments since the Neo-cons high-jacked the Republican Party both endorse the same viewpoint powerful central government control. The mainstream liberals demand the government support them and expect to be able to dictate to the dictator’s their battle crime seems to be give up your guns before we get taken over by a psychotic dictator.  Neo-con so-called conservatives claim limited government and low taxes is their fundamental belief but they are willing to give up their core beliefs and accept debt slavery and dictatorial rule to fight Islamo-fascism for the next hundred years, never mind the basic fact we will have no military if we are broke and have to beg the terrorists for money to fight them with.  Their battle cry seems to be giving up our freedom to a dictatorial government so we don't lose it to the Islamo fascists. The neo-con strategy seems to be to scuttle the battleships and aircraft carriers because we are getting attacked by disorganized thugs with handguns in rowboats.  So we actually have the left and extreme left parties, militarizing the economy and the legal system is Fascism no matter how much lipstick you put on that pig and the progressive tax rate is a central plank, actually the fundamental plank of Marxism.

The only way to restore freedom and prosperity for the vast majority of the citizens is to go back to the Constitution and a government of the people, which can only work if we show a responsibility and ability to run our own personal lives, communities, families and especially finances. In order for common people to successfully implement a checkbook dictatorship better known as free market capitalism over the corporations and politicians they actually have to have their own money to rule with. Allen Greenspan made the claim it's impossible to have property rights without a gold standard and free money (no interest and bonds for backing) and we can see the Chinese, oil rich countries and other foreign interests have assumed control over our economy and government by purchasing backing our Federal reserve created debt.

Unfortunately though we lived within our means Ohio on my income of around $50,000 I acquired several hundred thousand in assets a $550,000 home with a $150,000 mortgage and several late models vehicles and construction equipment within 5 years and certainly you lived well within your means as well, our fellow citizens did feed the debt monster and live well about their means that includes using government services that must be financed.

Servicing the national debt sucks out almost a half trillion a year that only feeds the international bankers and multinational corporations. The treasonous politicians duped the public into putting a noose around their own necks.

Jane Doe fails to understand the story of a bunch of poor losers not making their mortgage payments is a smokescreen and cover story for the implementation of a corporate dictatorship, allowing the banks to directly take our homes though armed force, local police and sheriffs. Jane Doe by allowing the banks to seize our assets using armed government force and throwing us in the street is public enemy number one of the Constitution, property rights, basic human freedom and the rule of law, and has become distracted by secondary issues. The property rights issue was replaced in the 1930's by the concept of the government equalizing income and assets so at least to some degree we have been living in a hybrid socialist-limited capitalist society since then. As soon as we allow the government to control your assets, and income then as a group we all lose our freedom of choice, it doesn't really much matter in the big picture whether the excuse is a recession or depression, public needs or a war the effect is the same giving up your freedom and assets in exchange for government security.

If we don't have the unlimited rights to own a home or business with the exception of criminal enterprises and public hazards we have no rights at all, all the other issues abortion, health care, war on terror, education etc. are secondary to the issue of whether we are free or feudal serfs no matter which ism we use to describe it.

State based terrorism is the greatest threat to freedom and prosperity and certainly nothing could be more dangerous than allowing the government strip citizens of assets by armed force and handing our assets to the banks which is exactly what ms fraud is. The bank manufactured our defaults and then sends or intends to send the local sheriff over to unlawfully force you out of your own home though threat of deadly force.

Permitting ms fraud is sponsoring state based terrorism which more dangerous and treasonous than aiding foreign enemies and terrorists because it destroys the country from the inside out and debases the currency, the founding fathers made it abundantly clear maintaining a stable currency, property rights and low taxes all really the same issue is the fundamental basis of freedom from feudalism.

Sadly Jane Doe has mistaken the most dangerous terrorists the world has ever known, the money changers the only people Jesus become violent towards as legitimate businessman.

The only realistic way to combat debt slavery is hard money or at least a stable fixed rate currency, and the only way to combat control of resources is property rights with due process they go hand in hand.

Amen. Only those who paid their mortgages yet found themselves in foreclosure court can truly understand. Lumping us in with the irresponsibles, the crooks and other vermin to blame this mess on is sickening and speaks loud and clear of the arrogant ignorance true MS FRAUD victims must contend with every single day.

If Jane 'DOH' wants to buy into that garbage...fine..just don't lump ME in there with it.

Yesm they must lump all borrowers together.

If they don't lump us all in the same category investigations might start
up and reveal the true nature of these money handlers.

It is a red herring to say borrowers are deadbeats.

It is a ponzi scheme pure and simple.

I have often thought our politicians are just too dumb and lazy to look into
this Gigantic Ponzi scheme or perhaps they are taking money from them
for their war chests.

I kinda understand what Jane Doe is saying. She could've said it different. maybe a tad nicer.

(Don't jump on me- Remember- I'm one of you)
but what she's saying has some truth to it. Most of you are the diehard fighters. But you guys are the unusual, not the norm (& that's a good thing) Most just take their lumps & walk away. They have no fight in them for what unfair & others just don't care.

Last night a few of my friends all sat around a nice autumn bon fire & talked about this very subject. After a few beers we came to this subject & decided that most Americans have become self obcessed & care only about what is happening to them directly. I guess we get numb to the BS. We have become an apethic society. Sorta Lemming-like.  In the olden days- People fought for whats right (like alot of you) they were willing to give up & distroy the very tea that they coveted & were being unfairly taxed on- Boston Tea Party. I don't think that many Americans are willing to give up anything. They are lazier now & don't seem to care about much more than what affects them directly. People aren't willing to sacrifice for the better of all.

Maybe it was the beers- but we came out of that conversation with the feeling that we have more problems in this society than (greed) financial problems. Greed is a side effect of this uncaring world we are in right now. Most just look the other way & walk away. & in that instance we have allowed it to happen.

So I see what Janes point is. It was allowed to happen. Mostly because the average American didn't give a chit. Uncaring Americans who did not pay attention, enabled this to continue on & on & on.

So-- I guess ya'll can jump all over me too. It's OK- I have thick skin & if ya'll  get too rough, I'll get even & turn my computer off. :-)
