Welcome back to 1980.

Personally I am happy. I never liked McCains involvement in the coverup of Keating AND his huge support for deregulation which has allowed our present crisis to exist.

For all that voted- No matter which way- THANKS.

You proved to me by the shear numbers of turnout alone, that America does indeed CARE.

Now let's start fixing the problems. In a responsible FAIR way.

Now is the time to start pressing our new leaders, Local, State & Federal, of the real problem of mortgage servicing fraud. We have to educate them of the real issues.

YES I did vote.  I don't believe for a moment that the new administration will be any different than the old.  I don't see any 'change' coming other than a repackaging of the same old ways with new names.  Barney Frank and Chris Dodd, architects of fraud in the mortgage industry are still in place and will be emboldened more than ever.  Wall Street types are already swilling at the soon to be filled pig trough of new entitlements.  Just wait - the corruption of the Harding Administration will pale when greed rears its head at the thought of a trillion dollar health care system run by bureaucrats.  Imagine that.  Some clerk in a remote tele-center in Kenya making decisions about whether or not you need surgery for the blood clot in your brain?  You only have to look at fraud and corruption in Medicare to see the exponential growth of fraud in Universal Health Care.

Foreclosures and the plight of homeowners will soon evaporate from the news, to be replaced with the upcoming news about Universal Health Care, taxing anybody who has a heart beat and more cash infusions into just about any industry that claims they are too big to die.  The last couple of weeks, at least here in Phoenix, news regarding foreclosures and their effect on homeowners has virtually disappeared - replaced instead by infomercials about how to buy foreclosed properties for pennies on the dollar and pseudo-talk shows by supposed foreclosure experts hawking books about how to 'work' with your lender to "give up and get out".  Phooey.

The only person helping me with my mortgage problem is me.  I fully understood that going into the problem and no outside forces particularly a new administration are going to make a difference.

I hate to be a pessimist but right now its hard to believe otherwise.

I want free health insurance. I want free shelter. I want free food, not only at the grocery store but at restaurants, too. I want around-the-clock police protection just for me. I want to retire within a year with a decent check from the government coming in the mail each month.

Up until today I have always worked hard for everything I ever had. Today I surrender to the Socialist forces at work in America.

I want; no, I DEMAND all these things. And I want all of the rest of you to pay all my bills for me. By God, spread the wealth and spread it quickly. I am tired of working my butt off as I have done it for years. All it has gotten me is my pocket picked every quarter for hefty amounts of cash so that the rich became richer and I became poorer.

Anyone celebrating today is misguided. I voted, but it was not for either of the "Big Two" candidates; both voted for the bailout and both have Socialist agendas. Now we have swung to the other end of the spectrum and will have a Democratic President and Congress. Their agendas will be pushed for awhile now and I am sewing my pockets shut. They come armed with seam rippers, alas!

It won't make a lick of difference for anyone here. Obama is not God and does not know your names. He never will. Produce, peons, so that we can finally destroy the Republic at last. It has suffered long enough. I can't wait to be mugged to pay your bills for you. I hope you will return the favor.

Where does the handout line form up anyway? I cannot seem to find it.

I agree with you Patty. There has been little done to help homeowners and I certainly don't see that changing. The only ones that are going to get help are the ones sitting at home collecting taxpayer money that they don't have to work for. Those of us that work hard in this life are the ones that have to pay out our hard earned dollars into the system that continually ignores us. Many of us here warned that this economic mess was going to happen. The sad part is that when it is those in the suits and ties that rob and steal from us it continually seems to go unnoticed. So many people were dead set against bailing the homeowners out. We did not want "bailed out" to begin with. We wanted to be heard and for the fraud to stop. We have been discriminated against and called deadbeats. Now the bad guys get all this money and nobody seems to care what they do with it. I wounder how much went into the pockets of the thieves once more. I have surrendered my house because I am not going to continue to keep fighting a hopless cause. I do not want to live my life under the stress of knowing that they are on my doorstep watching and waiting to come in for the kill. There are some, a few, that may be able to save their homes and I am glad for everyone that can. Most of us do not have the resourses to fight this. Most lawyers will not even take these cases. They get paid more by the fraudsters to not take the cases than most of us can pay. It is always the same. All the politicians say they will fight for the "little guy". Not one of them does. The little guy is left on his own. The  politicians are just as corupt as the rest of corporate America.
