Thank you for this exceptional read. Wonder if Cleveland knows that many of those FC's came from "manufactured defaults"  perpetrated by Wall Street banksters own in house servicing companies.  Other cities are bound to follow suit.

The Cleveland situation sounds alot like a privately iniated "urban renewal"
program to get rid of the "hoy-poloy" so the gentrification process can
begin, ie uproot all the weeds before planting the flower garden. Unfortunately, alot of beautiful "wild flowers" are getting up rooted at
the same time.

This reminds me of the '60's where urban renewal was some times
referred to as "minority removal". Many of those people were then
herded into government "projects" on the outskirts of town.

This procedure has been used for thousands of years to dispossess
the poor of their land. It was used in Palestine after WWI to take
over Arab land. Loan poor people money against their land knowing
full well they won't be able to pay it back and then foreclose.
