(AP) - Two protesters were led away in handcuffs by police after scaling flagpoles near the Wall Street "charging bull" statue in lower Manhattan.

Samantha Corbin and Cy Waggoner wore climbing ropes and helmets as they made it up the 40-foot-high poles to install a large American flag stamped with the word "Foreclosed?"

The two are members of the activist group Rainforest Action Network and blame "risky Wall Street decisions" for the economic crisis. Others waved signs calling for Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson's firing.

It wasn't clear if the climbers would face charges. Ms. Corbin descended on a police ladder; Mr. Waggoner got down on his own. The protest snarled traffic on the area's narrow streets as tourists gawked and shot photos of the scene from the sidewalks.
